About 423 Communication

423 Communication helps its clients tell their stories through freelance writing services, coaching and editing services, and employee communication consulting and implementation.

Founded in 2001 by Barbara Govednik, 423 Communication's clients range from big, multi-national corporations to one-person consultancies. 423's words have appeared in slick, hardcopy publications, in virtual form on web pages and intranets, and spoken format in narration and speeches. About Barbara Govednik
My entire career has been focused on creating effective communication in many varied forms. I started my career writing and doing marketing communications work for an association and several small businesses.

In 1996, I began to specialize in strategic organizational communications. I worked on staff for computer networking company U.S. Robotics/3Com as part of a team that launched the company's first formal internal communication program and was a lead communicator during the enormous of merger of U.S. Robotics and 3Com; insurance giant CNA where I helped update and modernize many company communication vehicles and e-commerce consulting firm Lante where I led internal communication effort
s as the company grew rapidly, had its IPO and battled through the dot com bust.

I am also a published non-business writer who focuses on personal essays, novels (one is finished, unpublished but tirelessly represented and soon to be serialized on readbarbara.com; two are in the works) and the occasional humor book  (my first effort is a bargain on Amazon!)

Some Things 423 Loves

Tiara: The Exceptional Women's Coaching Program
I've been part of the Tiara community for years now. It has introduced me to some of the most vibrant, powerful, fun and invigorating women I know, opened my eyes to what's possible for me and showed me how easy it can be to live a life of inspiration and value.

Caregiver Kits
World Vision makes it tremendously easy to set up a team event that is centered around putting together caregiver kits that put provide basic, yet essential supplies, to those caring for AIDs patients in the world. This is not your standard team-building exercise.

Do I Need A Jacket?
